So it seems that its not really a business where there is a boss, a deadline, or any official commitment and responsibility for that matter. Why is it taking soo long to develop? In their own words via their website, "out of our homes Folk Tale is being developed by people across 15 time zones" which basically translates to me that there is no regular staff rather than its being subcontracted out on a piecemeal basis. Look familiar? Looks like Folk Tale circa AOE2 graphics to me.įolk Tale is made with the unity engine, probably unity free. Its the only other game I could find that Simon Dean has worked on.
that did a game called Beasts and Bumpkins in 1997, which was published by EA. The lead designer of folk tale Simon Dean, was one of two guys who founded an "IT/Software company" named Worldweaver Ltd. It took about ten minutes with google to gather this information.
